Qui Vive’s Under-9s ended their campaign in the KNCB youth competition with a win over VRA 2 on Saturday, with excellent performances from Cub of the Week Isaac Nicoll and Cub of the Season Alan Edwin. But everyone contributed, especially in the fielding, which was the best we’ve seen so far.
The Under-10s lost to VRA, but there were good efforts from Cub of the Week Om Mukherjee, Nidhi Patil, Sharvari Kote and Cub of the Season Adityan Natarajan.
Both teams have performed creditably throughout the season, and coaches Andy Baird and Barani Dakshinamoorthy can be justly proud of what their players have achieved.
Training will continue on Wednesday evenings through the rest of the summer for anyone not on holiday, and we will continue to welcome new CubZ. We’re hoping to organise some friendly games as well, and the season will be rounded off with national festival tournaments in each age-group once the schools are back. Then it’s the regional Carousels in September, and after a short break back into the hall.
The Qui Vive CubZ have indeed arrived, and will be working hard to become a real force in Dutch youth cricket!
